Community Guidelines

Last updated: October 8th, 2026

Syderea is a place to share ideas, moments, conversations, creativity, and the things that interest you.

These Community Guidelines explain the kind of community we want to build and the behavior we expect from everyone who uses Syderea.

They apply to everything shared or done on Syderea, including Stars, photos, voice notes, comments, profiles, Starspaces, messages or interactions, and other content or activity.

Our goal is not to control every conversation or make Syderea feel overly restrictive. We want people to have room to express themselves while helping keep the community safe, respectful, and enjoyable.

1. Be Respectful

Treat other people like people.

You can disagree, criticize ideas, joke around, or have strong opinions. However, we don't allow behavior intended to seriously harass, threaten, intimidate, or repeatedly target another person.

This includes:

You don't have to agree with everyone. You do have to respect their basic right to participate in the community.

2. No Hate or Targeted Dehumanization

Syderea does not allow content that attacks, dehumanizes, or encourages violence against people because of characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.

This includes slurs, serious dehumanizing comparisons, threats, or calls for violence against protected groups.

Discussion of difficult subjects, news, history, politics, or discrimination is allowed. Context matters.

3. No Threats or Encouragement of Violence

Do not threaten to harm another person or encourage others to do so.

This includes:

Statements about fictional violence, clearly satirical content, or discussions of violence in news, history, or entertainment may be allowed depending on context.

4. Sexual Content and Exploitation

Syderea is intended for a broad audience and does not allow sexually explicit content.

This includes:

Any sexual content involving a minor is strictly prohibited.

We may remove content or accounts when necessary to protect users, particularly minors, from sexual exploitation or abuse.

5. Protect Children and Young People

Syderea is available to users who meet the minimum age requirement stated in our Terms of Service.

Do not use Syderea to:

If you encounter content that appears to involve child sexual exploitation or abuse, report it immediately.

6. Don't Share Private Information Without Permission

Respect people's privacy.

Do not post or distribute another person's sensitive or private information without permission when doing so could expose them to harm, harassment, fraud, or other abuse.

Examples may include:

Publicly available information does not automatically make it appropriate to use for harassment or targeting.

7. Respect Other People's Content

Only share content that you have the right to share.

Do not upload someone else's photographs, recordings, writing, artwork, music, or other material if doing so infringes their copyright, trademark, privacy rights, or other legal rights.

This also applies to voice notes and recordings.

Do not secretly record or distribute private conversations where doing so violates applicable law or another person's reasonable expectation of privacy.

8. Voice Notes and Audio

Syderea allows users to create Stars containing voice notes and other audio recordings.

The same rules that apply to written and visual content apply to audio.

Do not use voice notes to:

Remember that audio can contain personal information. Think carefully about what you record and who may be able to hear it.

9. No Illegal or Dangerous Activity

Do not use Syderea to facilitate serious illegal or dangerous activity.

This includes using the platform to:

Discussion of illegal activity for educational, journalistic, historical, or other legitimate purposes may be allowed depending on context.

10. No Scams, Fraud, or Deceptive Behavior

Don't use Syderea to deceive or financially exploit other people.

Examples include:

You may express opinions, promote legitimate projects, or share recommendations. The important distinction is whether you are intentionally deceiving or exploiting other users.

11. Don't Pretend to Be Someone Else

You may use a username, nickname, pseudonym, or creative identity.

However, don't impersonate another person, organization, or public figure in a way that is intended to deceive people or cause harm.

Parody, commentary, fan accounts, and obvious satire may be allowed when they are not misleading users about who is actually operating the account.

12. Don't Spam or Manipulate the Community

Syderea is meant for genuine interaction.

Don't use the platform to:

Sharing your work, business, project, or ideas is allowed. Just don't turn other people's experience on Syderea into spam.

13. Respect Starspaces

Starspaces can have their own communities and expectations.

Creators may establish reasonable rules for their spaces, including whether a space is public or private and who can participate.

However, Starspaces remain subject to Syderea's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

Being inside a private Starspace does not make prohibited content acceptable.

Content can still be reported and reviewed even when it is shared in a private space.

14. Public and Private Content

Syderea provides different visibility settings.

Public content may be visible to other Syderea users and may appear through features such as Explore.

Private profiles, Stars, or Starspaces may be limited to approved followers or authorized members.

Privacy settings are not a guarantee that content will remain completely confidential. People who can access content may screenshot, record, copy, or otherwise share it.

Regardless of visibility settings, content can be reported when there is a concern about safety, abuse, or a violation of these Guidelines.

15. Don't Abuse Reporting or Moderation

Our reporting system exists to help protect the community.

Please report content when you genuinely believe it violates our Guidelines or could pose a safety concern.

Do not repeatedly submit false reports simply to target another user or interfere with their account.

Likewise, do not attempt to evade moderation by repeatedly reposting removed content or creating new accounts to circumvent restrictions.

16. How Moderation Works

Syderea uses a combination of technology, reports, and human review to help maintain the community.

This may include:

Automated systems can make mistakes, and context matters. We may review content or accounts when necessary to understand what happened.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

We may take action even when content does not fit neatly into one specific example listed in these Guidelines if it presents a serious safety, abuse, or platform-integrity concern.

17. Appeals and Questions

If you believe content was removed or your account was restricted by mistake, you can contact us at:

support@syderea.com

Please explain what happened and provide enough information for us to understand the issue.

We may review moderation decisions where appropriate.

18. Emergency Situations

Syderea is not an emergency service.

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services rather than relying on a report through Syderea.

19. We May Update These Guidelines

As Syderea grows, the community and the ways people use the platform may change.

We may update these Guidelines to address new types of abuse, new features, or changes in applicable law.

We will try to keep the Guidelines understandable and focused on the principles that make Syderea a good place to participate.

20. The Basic Rule

The rules above can never cover every possible situation.

When in doubt, ask yourself:

Would this behavior reasonably make Syderea less safe, less welcoming, or less trustworthy for other people?

If the answer is yes, reconsider posting or doing it.

We want Syderea to be a place where people can share things that matter to them, discover new ideas, and create their own communities without having to worry about being seriously harassed, exploited, or deceived.

Thanks for helping us build that kind of community.
